I’m a professional music producer, sound designer and music tech consultant based in London. I started out in the early 90s as a recording and touring musician and I was a member of Top10 UK band Shed Seven (circa 1997 - 2004). This early part of my career involved Top 20 records, sold-out tours and numerous TV, Radio and festival appearances, before moving full time into production, mixing, sound design,tech and education.

I’ve worked in rock, indie, pop, folk, electronic music, sound design and music for games and some post production for film. I’m a published composer and songwriter, published by Universal, Sony, Warner Chappel, Cavendish and Notting Hill Music (including worldwide syncs for TV, film and advertising).

I moved into tech a few years ago, initially as in-house Music Producer for award-winning AI startup Jukedeck, and subsequently TikTok, where I was part of a global team building AI music and audio solutions and features for the TikTok app, as well as working with CapCut, Douyin and various external stakeholders and brands. I was also part of the core team that collaborated with Massive Music to create the well-known TikTok sonic ident that can be heard at the end of TikTok content. I also worked on a large in-house platform for VST effects and virtual instruments, and lead the creation of an extensive in-house sample library.

I’m currently working on generative AI tech with a new US-based company (based in Los Angeles and London).
